Connie Hayes, age 58 of Centerville, Iowa died Wednesday, May 30, 2007.

Connie was born August 24, 1948, the daughter of Don and Wanda(Hallberg)Stevens in Ottumwa, Iowa. She was raised and graduated from high school in Shelton, Washington. She married Marion Hayes February 5, 1972 in Lancaster, Missouri. He preceded her in death on December 9, 2001. She worked at Curwood for over ten years. She enjoyed Drag Racing, watching movies, doing crossword puzzles and spending time with her dogs. She was a member of the Eagles Lodge.

Connie is survived by two sons, Rusty(Paula)Hayes of Italy, Doug Hayes of Centerville, IA; one daughter, Judi Olsen of PA; four grandchildren, Brandon, Joshua, Caleb, and Sarah; and one brother, Chris Stevens of Shelton, WA. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

A visitation will be held at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, with family present from 6-8 pm, Tuesday, June 5, 2007. The body will then be cremated. A memorial has been established to the Connie Hayes Memorial Fund and may be left at the funeral home.
