"A.D. Jones dead. A.D. Jones, 81 year old resident of this vicinity since early manhood,died Friday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Martin Welch in Stanberry. He was the last of 15 children of Dr. Leander Jones, one of the pioneer physicians of Gentry Co.
Mr. Jones married Sarah B. Weathermon, March 29, 1884. His wife died April 26, 1920. Surviving Mr. Jones are 2 daughters, Mrs. Welch and Mrs. Harve Dollars of Stanberry; 5 sons, Isaac L. Jones, Dallas Texas, Marvin Jones, Seattle, Wash, Stephen Jones, Alexander Jones and Dale Jones, all of King City, Gentry Co., MO; 27 grandchildren and 34 grerat grandchildren. There will be a brief service at the Methodist Church of Guilford at 3 pm. Burial will be in the Weathermon Cemetery of Guilford, MO."
