Mrs. Mary Laughlin died suddenly at noon Thursday, March 9 from a stroke of apolplexy at her home a mile east of the city on Cantrell street. She would have been 70 years old next August. Mrs. Laughlin had just recovered from an attack of pneumonia and was fast regaining her usual health. She was able to walk around the house and yesterday seemed well as usual. She had been sitting talking with her husban and got up and walked to another room. As she passed the doorway, she fell and at once lost consciousness. That was between 10:30 and 11:00 o'clock. Dr. M.V. Lonergan was summoned but she did not regain consciousness and died about an hour after he arrived. She is survived by her husband and two children; Mrs.Ellen Gaddis of Macon and Ray Laughlin of Decatur. The funeral will be held at 10:00 Sunday morning. The interment will be at Greenwood.
