Samuel Ray Laughlin, 71, died Monday in the Decatur and Macon county hospital. He had been ill 10 days of Cardiac asthma. Born in Ohio July 21, 1869 he came to Decatur 60 years ago with his parents. He was employed by the Wabash shops for 16 years retiring in 1922.
He was first married to Ellen McElvaney. Following her death he married Mrs. Rosamond Harris Parr in 1901. Besides his wife, he leaves a step daughter, Mrs.Waldo Wright, Amarillo,Texas.
Funeral services in the Moran chapel with burial in the Harristown cemetery.
