Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. Wm. Jenks, 91, of San Diego, Calif., former La Porte City resident.
Her death occurred Dec. 23. Following funeral services her body was cremated and the ashes were taken to Shell Rock, Iowa for burial, Jan. 8.
Before her marriage Mrs. Jenks was Katie Stevenson.
The Jenks family moved from La Port City to Kansas City, Mo. in 1918 and later to California.
Surviving are two sons, Dr. Guy Jenks, in California and Harry Jenks of Kansas City, Mo.
Her husband and one son, Dr. Wm. Jenks preceded her in death.
She was a great-aunt of Clyde Jenks of this city.
