John Stull, son of the settler, was born in Lancaster county, Pa., in 1790, and accompanied his father to western Pennsylvania. He was also a shoemaker, and it is said he worked at his trade until he was ninety years of age, and lived to within fifteen days of being one hundred years old. When the old canal was in course of construction by the State he assisted in this work for some time.
