Funeral services for Charlie Morgan of Minden were conducted Thursday, April 23 at 4 p.m. in the Blocker's Chapel in Porterville.

Rev. Dennis Merritt officiated. Burial followed in the Blocker's Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Morgan died Tuesday, April 21 at 1:30 p.m. at the Town and Country Nursing Home in Minden after a long illness. He was 90.

A native of Tennessee, he had resided in Webster Parish for the past 70 years. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Blocker's Chapel.

Survivors include five sons, Ernest Morgan, Gretna; Sam Morgan, Middlebury, Indiana; Frank Morgan, Fred Morgan, and David Morgan, all of Minden; three daughters, Charlene May, Columbia; Lucille Williams, Dubberly; and Diane Lyles, Plain Dealing; 23 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Mr. Morgan's children, Frank Morgan, Fred Morgan, David Morgan, Charlene May, Lucille Williams, and Diane Lyles. Honorary pallbearer was Sam Morgan.
