"Mrs. Rhymes
Graveside funeral services for Mary Elizabeth Rhymes, 81, will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Oak Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Dale Shorter of First Assembly of God officiating. Mrs. Rhymes was a housewife and a mother.
Mrs. Rhymes died Tuesday at Lampasas Manor nursing home. A lifelong resident of Lampasas, she was born March 14, 1907. She married Hiram Willis Rhymes Feb. 25, 1925. Preceded in death by her husband, Mrs. Rhymes is survived by one daughter, Lena Elizabeth Cummins of Lampasas; three sons, James Willard Rhymes and Denny Dayle Rhymes of Lampasas and Harold Edward Rhymes of Independence, Ore.
Also surviving are 27 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.
Memorial Funeral Home of Lampasas is in charge of arrangements."
