Virginia L. Houghton
Services will be private for Virginia L. Houghton, 77, of 356 N. Collingwood Ave., who died Tuesday at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital. Burial will be in Ithaca City Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.
A native of Ithaca, Miss Houghton lived in Syracuse since 1948. She retired in 1975 as branch operations manager after 26 years Key Bank. Miss Houghton previously was employed with the U.S. War Department from 1937-1947. She attended Cornell University.
Miss Houghton played softball and bowled for many years with several Syracuse leagues.
Surviving are a sister, Elizabeth McHale of Ithaca, and several nieces and nephews.
Contributions may be made to the Syracuse Rescue Mission Alliance.
