Shirley Jean Diehl Dadisman, 72, of Clinton died of complications from pneumonia Nov. 9, 2009, at Southern Maryland Hospital Center, Clinton.

She was a waitress at Rips of Waldorf and a member of the home chapter of Loyal Order of Moose of Upper Marlboro. She liked bingo, the Baltimore Orioles, Elvis and her dog, Taz.

She was born March 29, 1937, in Harrisonburg, Va.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thurston and Margaret.

She is survived by her husband, James W. Dadisman Jr., whom she married Jan. 7, 1956; son, James W. III and his wife, Elizabeth Dadisman; sister-in-law, Mary Ann; brothers-in-law, Dudley and Kemper; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Nov. 16 at Lee Funeral Home, Clinton, where a service will be held at 10 a.m. Nov. 17. Burial will take place at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
