Mrs. Callie (Fisher) Marple, 75, of Route 4, Campbellsville, daughter of the late Mr. Silas Fisher and Mrs. Mary Smith Fisher, was born in Taylor County, June 23, 1901. She died suddenly at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, March 17, at her home.
She had professed faith in Christ early in life and was a member of the Elkhorn Baptist Church.
She united in marriage to Mr. Fred Marple, April 17, 1924.
To this union four daughters and two sons were born. One son, Clifford Eugene Marple, died in 1947, and one daughter, Anna Evelyn Marple, died in infancy.
Surviving are Mr. James Marple of Campbellsville; Mrs. Hazel Wise of Campbellsville, Route 1; Miss Frances Mae Marple of Campbellsville, Route 4; and Mrs. Josephine Kennedy of Lexington. Besides her husband, Mr. Fred Marple of Campbellsville, Route 4, and children, she is also survived by three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 19, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Dr. J. Chester Badgett and Rev. Hardin Hosey. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Roger Bright, Walter Webb, Kenneth Sapp, Bobby Warren, Bill Cozine, and George Sanders.
