Katherine Hausman, Pioneer of County, Dies at Age of 93
ST. HELENA -- Mrs. Katherine Hausman, 93-year old Cedar county pioneer, died Monday morning in Sacred Heart hospital in Yankton. She had been seriously ill six weeks and death was attributed to a blood clot.
Funeral services were held at Immaculate Conception Catholic church here Wednesday morning. Rev. Ernest Halemba officiated at the requiem mass and burial was in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Hausman is survived by five sons, George, Fred and Carl, all of St. Helena; William of Yankton, and John of Mission Hill; four daughters, Mrs. William Patiz of St. Helena, Mrs. Harry Sparby and Mrs. William Regan of Yankton, and Mrs. A. P. Collins of Corvallis, Ore., and one sister, Mrs. Agnes Foerster of Hartington.
