Mrs. Mary J. Hirsch
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary J. Hirsch, who died Aug. 4 in a Norfolk hospital, were held Monday at St. Helena in Cedar county. Burial was in St. Helena.
Mrs. Hirsch was born Nov. 26, 1857, at Garnavillo, Ia., and came to Cedar county with her parents as a small child. She grew to womanhood there and was married to W. P. Hirsch. They later moved to Norfolk where she remained until her death. She was preceded in death by her son, William in 1910, and by her husband in 1933.
She leaves a son, Anton C., of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. George Hausemann, St. Helena, and Mrs. Agnes Foerster, Norfolk, and a granddaughter.
