MRS. CHARLES CARPENTER
Catherine Farber was born in Lucas county, Iowa, March 10th, 1858, and died at Akron, Colorado, February 7th, 1930, at the age of 71 years, 10 months and 27 days.
On September 4th, 1883, she was united in marriage to Charles H. Carpenter and to this happy union six children were born, all of whom survive her.
She lived in Lucas county, Iowa, until 1910, when she moved with her family to Akron, Colorado, where she resided until her death. While she resided in Lucas county, Iowa, she united with the Otterbein United Brethren church, which membership she continued until her death.
She leaves to mourn her demise one son, John Leo, of Evanston, Illinois, and five daughters, Mrs. Laura Etter, of Cottage Grove, Oregon; Mrs. Elva Johnson, Mrs. Mary Lisle, Mrs. Fern Triffet and Miss Lavenia Carpenter, all of Akron, Colorado; also two sisters, Mrs. J. M. Wilson, of Ottumwa, Iowa, and Mrs. Mary E. Curtis, of Russell, Iowa, and one brother, Albert Farber, of Crookston, Neb., as well as a host of friends and other relatives.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the Beardsley funeral home in charge of Rev. G. J. Cornford, pastor of the U. B. church of Chariton, and Rev. McCray, of Bethel. Burial was followed at Chariton cemetery.
