James B. Berry, age 84 years, of New Hope, died at a Winnfield Clinic after an extended illness.

Mr. Berry is survived by two daughters: Mrs. J. W. Hughen and Mrs. Hooper Mooney of Dodson; six sons, Marvin of Dodson, Guy and Clyde Berry of Hudson, Willard and Cecil Berry of Winnfield, A. A. Berry of Pineville and a number of grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at New Hope Methodist church. Rev. Lemon of Jonesboro officiated. Interment was made at New Hope.
