Albert F. Acri, 86, of Country Meadows Retirement Community, Mechanicsburg, and formerly a long time resident of Camp Hill, passed away on January 19, 2010 in the Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
Born on May 6, 1923 in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Antonio and Fortuna (Biasi) Acri.
He was a graduate of John Harris High School, and a U.S. Navy Veteran of WW II. He was a retired supervisor at the Naval Inventory Control Point in Mechanicsburg with 37 years of total employment with the Federal government. He was a member of Church of the Good Shepherd in Camp Hill, was an avid sportsman, and loved golfing.
Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Mabel J. (Fisher) Acri, of Mechanicsburg; two daughters, Cheryl J. Dellinger and her husband Thomas C., of Mechanicsburg, Sandra M. Bush and her husband Todd G., of York; three brothers, Ercole, Raymond, and Armond Acri; three sisters, Esther Lewis, Edith Kochenour, and Helen Lappano; seven grandchildren, Albert F. Acri, II, Angela F. Acri, Anthony L. R. Acri, Michael T. Dellinger, Andrew P. Dellinger, Monica M. Bush, Chelsea M. Bush; two great-grandchildren, Albert Louis Acri, and Lucian A. Dellinger. He was preceded in death by two sons, Albert Louis and Russell J. Acri; two brothers, Romualdo and Adolph Acri; and one sister, Aralia Lewis.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 3435 Trindle Road, Camp Hill, with the Rev. Paul C. Helwig as celebrant. Burial will be held at Rolling Green Memorial Park, Camp Hill. Myers-Harner Funeral Home, 1903 Market St. Camp Hill, is handling funeral arrangements.
