Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2:30 PM Saturday February 11 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church 400 East Simpson Street Mechanicsburg. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 2:15 PM at the church. Burial will take place privately at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in memory of Ercol can be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church 410 East Simpson Street Mechanicsburg PA 17055 or Hospice of Central PA 1320 Linglestown Road Harrisburg PA 17110.

Ercol O. “Eric” Acri, Sr., age 98, of Mechanicsburg, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at home. Born August 9, 1918 in Steelton, to the late Antonio and Fortuna (Biasi) Acri.
Ercol retired as the Director of Photography for Penn Dot, where he worked for 40 years. He was a Tech SGT Squadron Operation Chief in the 53rd Troop Carrier 61st T. C. Group in the US Army Air Corps during WWII. Ercol was the recipient of The Pennsylvania Meritorious Service Medal. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mechanicsburg, the Mechanicsburg Club and the Knights of Columbus. Ercol enjoyed hunting, fishing in FL and golfing until the age of 91.
Ercol was preceded in death by his wife, Concetta R. (Salvagno) Acri; two sisters Aurelia Lewis and Esther Lewis; three brothers Romualdo Acri, Adoph Acri and Albert Acri. He is survived by his daughter Beth Acri-Bowen and husband Larry of Enola; his son Dr. Ercol O. Acri, Jr. and wife Jane of Mechanicsburg; and daughter Denise Acri-McGarvey and husband Michael of Port Republic, NJ; grandchildren Annie Acri, Ercol O. Acri III, Joseph McGarvey and Mei McGarvey; two brothers Armond Acri and wife Mary and Raymond Acri; two sisters Helen Lappano and Edith Kochenour.
