On a beautiful sunny day last Thursday with Mount Hood in the background, Polly was laid to rest with a full military service. After a three gun salute, full flag ceremony and a touching bugle rendition of taps, many members of her family gathered to remember and honor her. She was an amazing woman and always fascinated me with the stories of her life. I will try to write a better memorial in the coming weeks, but could not leave her with just these few notes from the Oregonian. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
