Eleanor Frame McCool
Eleanor Frame McCool, 83, of West Chester, passed away peacefully on Friday, Dec. 8, 2006, at her home with family at her side.
She was the widow of Francis X. McCool, who passed away in 2003 after sharing 50 years of marriage. Born in West Chester, Eleanor was the daughter of the late Charles W. Frame Sr. and Helen Morgan Frame.
She was a 1940 graduate of the St. Agnes High School. Eleanor served in the U.S. Women's Marine Corp during World War II from 1944 until 1946, obtaining the rank of Sergeant.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathleen M., wife of John Morroni, of East Fallowfield, Monica McCool Shelling, of Wildwood Crest, N.J.; two sons, Mark J. McCool and wife Donna, of Cochranville, John "Jack" McCool, of Gap; five grandchildren, John Morroni III, Marie Morroni, Joseph and Brian McCool and Matthew Shelling; and two great-granddaughters, Jordan DiFabio and Peyton Settle.
She is also survived by two brothers, Charles W. Frame Sr., husband of Sue, of Avalon, N.J., and Thomas G. Frame, husband of Dolly, of West Chester.
Eleanor was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Gallagher and Peggy Abbott.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Dec. 15, 2006, at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Church, 233 W. Gay St., West Chester, followed by interment at the St. Agnes Cemetery of West Chester.
Relatives and friends may call at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Eleanor's name to the Hospice of Neighborhood Health Agencies Inc., North Hills Medical Office Buildings., 795 E. Marshall St., Suite 204, West Chester, PA 19380-4412.
Arrangements are being handled by the Wilde Funeral Home, Parkesburg.
