Rolla Richey, age 94, of Scottsburg, Indiana died Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at Scott Memorial Hospital.
He was born April 4, 1913 in Scott County, Indiana, the son of the late Lewis Albert and Bertha G. (Howell) Richey.
Rolla was married to Inez (Comer) Richey, who died March 27, 2007.
He was a retired employee of the old American Can Company in Austin, Indiana and aslo a former employee of Westwood Golf Club. He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Leota, Indiana. Rolla was one of the Charter Members of the Leota Frolic & Finley Township V.F.D.
Survivors include a daughter: Peggy Kimmick of Scottsburg, Indiana; a daughter in law: Pauline Richey of Scottsburg, Indiana. He is also survived by six grandchildren: Allen (Cindy) Richey, Scott (Anna) Richey, Michael Richey, Linda (John) Barton, Heidi (Greg) Inman & Matt Kimmick; 11 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Rolla was preceded in death by a son: Robert E. Richey who died in November 1998.
