Linda Frances Benton Peters, 60 years of age, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, departed this life to join her Lord and savior, Jesus Christ, after losing her five year battle with breast cancer on Tuesday morning, January 19th, 2010, surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Linda was born in Hamilton, Ohio, on Wednesday, December 14th, 1949, she grew up among five siblings in Fairhaven, Ohio exploring the nearby streams and woods. Throughout life, she loved and was loved especially by her husband of 23 years, David Peters. Together they scuba dived, biked, skied, backpacked, canoed, read, panned for gold, and explored and shared many trips, quiet moments and experiences. Linda and David lived in Nevada, where they met in 1983, Illinois, Idaho, Iowa and Florida. Along the way, they made many life-long friends.

Linda worked in the health field most of her life, first as a paramedic, then running a blood lab, and finally as an opthamalic technician. She loved her patients and they returned her love. Doctors and staff that she worked with appreciated her professionalism and compassion. Her co-workers and patients became her friends.

Linda was survived by her loving husband, Dave Peters; one son, Curt Tucker; two grandsons, Aaron Tucker and Jacob Tucker; two brothers, Richard (and Donna) Benton and Tom (and Lisa) Benton; three sisters, Sandra Borradaile, Carol Benton, and Beverly (and Fred) Campbell; a former husband, Edward H. "Ed" Tucker; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.

Linda was preceded in death by her father and mother, Richard Thomas Benton and Beulah Benton of Fairhaven, Ohio; paternal grandparents, Virgil Benton and Lillian Dunn Benton of Mt. Ranier, Maryland; maternal grandparents, Isaac Larison and Leila Larison of Fairhaven, Ohio, and by her dear friend, Pat Potocnik of Genesio, Illinois.
