---- — ERIE -- Delores M. King, a six-year resident of Golden Living Center,
1293 Grandview Road, Oil City, formerly of Hermitage and Sharon, passed away at 6:30 p.m. Saturday (11-5-11) in St. Vincent Medical Center, Erie, with her family at her side. She was 89.

Mrs. King was born May 7, 1923 in what was then Hickory Township, the eldest child of Benjamin Franklin Lilly and Dorothy Winner Lilly.

She was raised in Hermitage and was a graduate of Hickory High School.

Prior to her marriage, she was employed at the former Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corp.

Delores was a lifelong member of Neshannock Alliance Church, Shenango Township.

She was an exceptional homemaker and enjoyed cooking, baking, crossword puzzles and watching figure skating during the winter Olympics.

As a loving mother and grandmother, she cherished the time with her family.

Her husband, Melvin E. King, whom she married Feb. 14, 1951, passed away July 16, 1995.

Surviving are: a son, Leslie Melvin King and his wife Susan, Fryburg, Venango County; two sisters, Nancy Slater, West Middlesex; and Ruth Stainbrook and her husband Raymond, Mercer; a brother, Richard Lilly and his wife Barbara, West Middlesex; seven grandchildren, Thomas A. King and his wife Heather; Melissa R.
White and her husband Ted; Amber L. O'Rourke and her husband John; Craig M.
Hughes and his wife Kodie; Lisa M. Mook and her fiancé Josh; Fred J. Mook; and Alexis P. King; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.

Besides her husband, Delores was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters and their husbands, Beverly and Howard Redmond; and Phyllis and Edward Diger; and a brother-in-law, Fred Slater.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Neshannock Alliance Church, 3109 S. Keel Ridge Road, West Middlesex, PA 16159.
