She graduated from Wellington High School with the Class of 1931. She began a 20 year teaching career at Buck Creek School, from 1942 to 1946. Mrs. Timmons later taught in rural schools in several counties and at Flomot and Matador before retiring.
She is preceded in death by: parents and husband, Grady Timmons. She is survived by: brothers, Eual Amburn and wife, Helen of Tulsa and Elmer Amburn of Scottsdale, AZ; nephews, Steve Amburn of Tulsa, W.E. Amburn of Bartlesville and Tom Amburn of Tulsa; nieces, Annette Savage of Tulsa and Jean Moffett of Oklahoma City. Service 2 p.m., Monday, November 17, 1997 at Memorial Park Chapel.
