She was the daughter of Alexander Henry (1763-1847). She married John Kearsley Mitchell in 1822. They had nine children.

7). Robert Walsh Mitchell (April 25, 1836-April 2, 1872). Captain, 6th Pennsylvania Volunteer Cavalry, Civil War. Died in St. Kitts, West Indies.
