Gerald "Jerry" Flood, age 66, of Crown Point, IN, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2009 at St. Anthony Hospice, Crown Point IN.
He is survived by his sister, Shirley (Arnold) Patz of Crown Point; nephews: Jeff (Edie) Straka, Kole (Debra) Straka, John (Dana) Straka Jr.; niece, Melissa (Steve) Likas; many great and great-great nieces and nephews and god-son Josh Gaw.
He is preceded in death by his parents Harold and Molly Flood.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 24, 2009 at 10:00 AM at The Funeral Home in Crown Point, IN with Pastor G. E. Isenberg officiating. Interment at Calumet Park, Merrillville IN.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre.
Mr. Flood was a member of Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church in Merrillville. He was a retired school teacher, teaching at many local schools including Crown Point, Boone Grove and River Forest. Gerald was a graduate of Indiana University and was an avid Cubs fan.
