Mrs. John Moret, 48, of near Boyden, passed away at 11 p.m., on Saturday, March 16, at the Hull hospital, following an illness of two years.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Moret home and the Boyden Reformed church, with Rev. Brink officiating, assisted by Rev. Roetman. Burial was made in Sheridan Township cemetery, the following acting as bearers: John Rohlfs, Joe Mouw, George Brinks, Martin Brinks, Bernard Peters and W. Boelsma.

Nellie DeGroot, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry DeGroot, was born on November 14, 1891, at Middleburg, and since her marriage to John W. Moret of Boyden, she has lived in the vicinity of Boyden. Their marriage took place on February 8, 1912.

Mrs. Moret was a member of the Boyden First Reformed church, and was very active in affairs concerning the church and the community.

Surviving are her husband, four sons: William of Sheldon, Henry of Orange City, James of Ames, and Lawrence at home; two daughters: Nelvina and Eunice at home. Two children are deceased, Henrietta and Jeannette.

She also leaves her aged father, Henry DeGroot Sr., of Orange City; and the following brothers and sisters: Henry DeGroot Jr. of Boyden, Mrs Henry Hubers of Boyden, Mrs. Herman Rowenhorst of Orange City, Mrs. Henry Reinders of Orange City, and Gerrit DeGroot of Milwaukee, Wis.
