Henry De Groot, 81, a farmer and for 35 years president of the Farmers Cooperative, elevator at Boyden, Ia. died Sunday after a heart attack. He was a director of a bank here in Orange City.

Mr. De Groot was born February 13, 1865, in The Netherlands. He came to Sioux county at the age of 12, and married Jennie Roetman, March 20, 1890.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. H. Rouwenhorst, Mrs. Henry Hubers and Mrs. Henry Reinders, all of Orange City, and two sons, Henry De Groot, Jr., of Boyden and Gerrit De Groot of Milwaukee. Mrs. De Groot died in 1933.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at the First Reformed church. Rev. H. Colenbrander officiated.
