Leica Afton Pyper Fielding, 84, died April 22, 1996 with her family at her side.

She was born September 21, 1911 in Heber City, Utah to John Barton and Sarah Elizabeth Johnnson Pyper.

She married Carl Cox Fielding April 20, 1934 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Mother will be remembered for her love of music, literature, family and the gospel.

Surviving are five sons and two daughters: David and Alan Fielding of the Los Angeles, Calif. area; Michael and Paul Fielding, Richmond, Virginia; Barton Fielding, Bend, Oregon; Leica Clayton, Sandy; Catherine Kendell, Ogden; 23 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are two sisters, Blanche Liebelt of Salt Lake and Vera Fish of Pleasant Grove.

She was preceded in death by her husband, and her son, Craig, who was killed in Vietnam.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 26, 1996 at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park (Glendale Section).

Friends may call at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and on Friday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services.
