EAST FORK, W.Va. — Ivan L. Gore, 77, of East Fork, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, January 11, 2010, at his residence.

Born July 10, 1932, he was a son of the late Willis and Belva Gore. Also preceding him in death were his brothers, Howard and Marvin Gore, and sisters, Imogene Gore, Erma Farrell and Marilyn Baisden.

Ivan was a faithful church member of the Trace Fork Church of God at Dingess. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He loved the Lord and spent his life praising, seeking and spreading God's word. Ivan loved his family, church, friends and, most of all, God.

Survivors include his wife, Yvonne Gore of East Fork; daughters, Connie (Michael) Fortner, Jaime Gore and Heather Thompson, all of East Fork, Dani (Myron) Sowards of Barboursville, and Rhonda (Scotty) Mullins of Chapmanville; and grandchildren, Keith (Denise) Tomblin and Tadd and Drew Fortner, all of East Fork and Gavin Sowards of Barboursville.

A memorial services is being planned. His body has been cremated.
