Lillian A. Hopper, 78, of Kankakee, died Saturday (March 16, 2002) at Miller Health Care Center.

At her request there will be no visitation or services. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Kankakee Valley.

She was born Oct. 24, 1923, in Bradley, the daughter of Joseph and Margaret Engelke Mitchell Sniegowski.

Her husband, Emory Hopper, whom she married June 23, 1962, in Kankakee, is deceased.

Surviving are two sisters and one brother-in-law, Donelda "Nelda" and Jimmie Goodrich of Kankakee, Lorraine Redman of Bourbonnais; nieces and nephews, Vicki Fender, Karen and Michael Harms, Rodney and Anne Redman, Carol and Jeff Brooks, Barbara Goodrich, Jim and Sue Goodrich; seven great-nieces and great-nephews; and three step-great-nieces and step-great-nephews.

Two brothers, Jimmie and Kenneth; one half-brother, Donald Mitchell; and brother-in-law, Clyde Redman, are deceased.

Mrs. Hopper had been a longtime employee of Bear Brand Hosiery and retired from Imperial International Learning. She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
