Magdalena was born on Oct. 6, 1914 in Drake, N.D. to Reinhold and Margaretha (Horning) Uhlich. The family moved to Harlem when she was young and she worked in the beet fields. Magdalena married Otto Strobel and they later divorced. She moved to California and worked in health care for a number of years. She returned to Harlem in the mid 1980s and has resided at Northern Montana Care Center for the past seventeen years. Magdalena loved to cook and sew.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Fred and Alec Uhlich; and sisters, Margaret Nissen and Lydia Schlecth. She is survived by brother, Rudy Uhlich of Harlem; sister, Minnie Main of Fredrick, Md.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
