Friday, November 22, 1996, at her residence. She had been ill for a week. She was born October 14, 1911, in Fort Loramie to John and Elizabeth (Stricker) Henke. On April 26, 1938, she married Albert F. Schmitmeyer, who survives. She is also survived by four sons and spouses, John and Rita, Coldwater; Ted and Connie, Versailles; Lester and Jane, Fort Loramie; Rev. James, North Star and Osgood parishes; a daughter and spouse, Alberta and Leroy Pohl, Coldwater; 24 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Loretta Boeke, and three grandsons.
