Lawn, Feb. 26: Funeral for Mrs. LONA MCKINLEY, 79, will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. in the Oplin Church of Christ. Mrs. McKinley died in Hendrick Memorial Hospital in Abilene Wednesday. She had been ill about a year and underwent surgery a week ago.
She had been living in the home of a daughter, Mrs. SEBE MONROE, here for about a year. Mr. McKinley, a farmer, died in 1949. ROBERT BOYLES, minister, will officiate at the funeral.
Burial will be in Oplin Cemetery under direction of Elliott's Funeral Home of Abilene.
Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. JOE MONROE of Clovis, New Mexico, Mrs. SEBE MONROE of Lawn, Mrs. WALTER JOHNSON of Novice, Mrs. ALBERT BETCHER of Oplin, Mrs. FLOYD SUMMEROUR of Abilene, Mrs. BLANTON CHRISTESSON of Kress; four sons, OTTO of Grants, New Mexico, FRED of Quernado, N. M., IRA of Datil, N. M, and RAY of Narvisa, N. M; 29 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren; six sisters Mrs. HASSIE CLANTON and Mrs. JENNIE WEEMS both of Big Spring, Mrs. JESSIE MERK of Lamesa, Mrs. LELLA DAVIS of Methlow, Washington, Mrs. NORVILLA LOVELACE of Morton, Mrs. LULA HAYNES of Lawn; four brothers, ELLIS MAYFIELD of Houston, HOMER MAYFIELD of California, RUSHING MAYFIELD of Louisiana and HESTER MAYFIELD of Oplin.
