Will and Lona were married July 20, 1896 in Brownwood, TX. They lived north of Rising Star at a little place called Okra until 1905 when they moved to T. A. Irving's farm north-east of Oplin.  They moved to the Lofton place on the side of the Oplin Mountain and lived there for a year. They moved to Tom Windham's farm 2 1/2 miles west of Oplin where they farmed for 9 years. At this time, they bought their first farm which is now known as the Harville place.
