Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Wednesday at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory, with Pastor Bill Gravell officiating. Burial will follow in Oplin Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Born on February 26, 1932, in Lancashire, England, Marguerite was the daughter of Elizabeth (Cochran) and Fredrick Weeks. In 1962, she moved from Lockhart, Texas to Abilene where she was employed by the Abilene Country Club.
She was predeceased by her parents and two husbands, Manuel Earl McBride in 1962, and William Hayden Greer in 1996.
Survivors include sons, Gary McBride and wife, Sheila, of Wellborn, Texas, Wade McBride of Abilene, and Manuel McBride and wife, Susan, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; daughters, Jennifer Auvenshine and husband, Lynn, of Arlington, Texas, and Elizabeth Boyd of Jarrell, Texas; a brother, Victor Weeks of England; sisters, Monica Darby of England, and Patricia Campbell of California; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
