Manuel was born Aug. 27, 1962 in Lockhart, Texas. He was a devoted husband and friend who lived life to the fullest. An avid military buff, he particularly enjoyed military history. He loved operating a crane, drag racing, and watching planes and helicopters take off and land. His family extends their gratitude to Dr. Gautam, Dr. Shori, Dr. Obeng, the nurses and staff of the transplant unit at Baylor All Saints, and the McBrayer family.
Manuel was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel Earl and Kathleen Marguerite Weeks McBride. He is survived by his wife, Susan McBride; siblings, Jennifer Auvenshine and her husband, Lynn, Gary McBride, and Wade McBride; half sister, Elizabeth Boyd; nephew, Manuel Earl McBride; and his family of friends at CDI Contractors.
A graveside service will begin at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Oplin Community Cemetery in Callahan County. Gifts in his memory may be made to the American Liver Foundation, 39 Broadway, Suite 2700, New York, New York 10006.
