Janie Smith Draper, 19, of Salt River Township, Audrain County, passed on to her Lord at 3:00pm on March 12, 1911 at her home.

Dr. Fred Griffen, of Mexico, pronounced death caused by Peritonitis. The informant was Elsworth Draper, spouse of the deceased.

She was born July 30, 1891, in Calwood, the daughter of Phelan Smith and unnamed mother. She was united in marriage to Ellsworth Draper on January 13, 1906. To this union one son was born. The infant preceeded her in death in 1908. Her son, Ruben Elmer Draper, is buried in New Hope Church, Calwood, Callaway County beside his father and step-mother, Lula. Janie was a housewife.

Arrangements were under the care of McPheeters Brothers of Mexico. Burial was in the Beaver Dam Cemetery in Audrain County.
