Uncle Ed as he was called was the son of Edwin Rufus & Sarah Jane (Stover) Austin. He took over the family farm on Dickersonville road and continued to farm untill his illness which caused him to be confined due to a brain disease. He was considered a 'pioneer' in the farming organization of progress in that area. He had never married and had NO children. He was the brother of 'Judge' Taylor; Charles, WILL H., Minnie, Jennie & Harriett.
