'Taylor' as he went by was the oldest of 7 children born to Edwin Rufus & Sarah Jane (Stover) Austin. He was a Justice of the Peace for the Town of Lewiston & was known to be called 'THE JUDGE' He had been married twice, 1st wife was Lucinda Hill who he married 11/3/1897 & his 2nd wife Eva Helen Stanton on 10/31/1918 in Canada. He had NO children, but was known to take in 'Wards' of the Court. He made his home on what was then called South Lake Street (Ransomville road) in the town of lewiston. His photo is on display in the Town of Lewiston Court room.
