LOONEY Caroline Ambrister, died at home December 8, 1993. She was born November 12, 1919 in Muskogee, Oklahoma, daughter of C.A. and Carrie Ambrister. Attended Sullins College for 2 years and graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1941, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority. She taught school in Seminole, Oklahoma. Married Robert D. Looney December 19, 1941. They moved to Oklahoma City in 1945. Joined Westminster Presbyterian Church in 1948, where she taught Sunday School for many years. Caroline's family was her life and she dedicated her life to them. She was active in the P.T.A. at Horace Mann, Edgemere, Zachery Taylor, Harding and Casady Schools. She is survived by her husband, Robert D. Looney; daughter, Carole Hill of Houston; and sons, Robert D. Looney, Jr. and John A. Looney of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Kim Looney, Phoenix, Arizona, Beth Looney, Tempe, Arizona, Kara Looney, Oklahoma City, John L. Hill, Jr. and Caroline Hill of Houston, Texas; sister, Jean A. Smith, Bella Vista, Arkansas. Caroline was a gracious lady in every way. She lived a strong spiritual life with strong faith in Jesus Christ. She leaves many good friends, with whom she shared love, life, and good times. She loved life and had a large forgiving heart and soul. She was the light of her family's life. Her body died, but her light will never die. Services at Westminster Presbyterian Church at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 11, 1993. Burial at Rose Hill Cemetery. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
