Joe Findley, 53, Darlington R1, died at 4:50 a.m. today at his home.
Formerly of Greenwood, Mr. Findley attended the Christian church. He attended Seymour schools, served in the military in Korean conflict and was self-employed construction worker.
Mr. Findley was a member of the Darlington American Legion, the Darlington Conservation Club and the Community Association of Darlington.
He was born Jan. 29, 1932 in Seymour to Clarence and Nellie Findley. His mother survives in Seymour.
Mr. Findley was married Dec. 13, 1952, in Franklin, to Beverly Baurley, who Survives.
Also surviving are a son, Mike Findley, and two daughters, Peggy Fulmer and Pam Mattingly, all of Greenwood; two brothers, Clarence Jr. Findley, of Missouri; and George Findley of Greenwood; and Pearl Fletcher, Bloomington; Deloris Abrell, Indianapolis; Jo Ann Ponder and Carleen Anderson, both of Seymour.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Vandivier Tudor Funeral Home, Bargersville, with the Rev. Albert Lorver officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Garden near Bargersville.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Burkhardt Funeral Home, Darlington, and after 4 p.m. Thursday at Vandivier Tudor.
