Thomas, Webster, Ky., Mrs. Dorothy Lawson, Valley Station, Mrs. Mary Rose Butler, Webster, Ky.; sons, John E. Mattingly, New Britain, Conn., James P. Mattingly, Irvington, Everett L. Mattingly, Peru, Ind., Henry A. Mattingly, El Paso, Texas, William W. Mattingly, Albany, Ga., Jack B. Mattingly, Jr., Great Falls, Montana, and George A. Mattingly, West Point, Ky. Also survived by 9 stepchildren, 34 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral Thursday at 2 P.M. in the Raymond Baptist Church, Webster, Ky. Burial in church cemetery. Mrs. Knott is at the Alexander Funeral Home, Irvington, Ky."

Mrs. Emma Mattingly Knott, 70, died of an apparent heart attack at her residence in Webster, Monday, March 31 [1975]. She was born September 1, 1904 at Lamar, IN. She was a member of the Raymond Baptist Church. Mrs. Knott is survived by her husband, Rhoda Knott; 3 daughters, Mrs. Anna E. Thomas and Mrs. Mary Rose Butler of Webster, and Mrs. Dorothy Lawson of Valley Station, KY; 7 sons, George Mattingly, West Point; John E. Mattingly, New Britton, CT, James P. Mattingly, Irvington, Everett L. Mattingly, Peru, IN, Henry A. Mattingly, El Paso, TX, William W. Mattingly, Albany, GA, and Jack B. Mattingly, Great Falls, MT. Also surviving are 9 step-children, 34 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, April 3, from Raymond Baptist Church, with Rev. Ralph Shepperson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Alexander Funeral Home.
