He passed away on September 15, 2007 of Heart Faliure at the age of 67. He was cremated and later buried with his wife Carol. He was preceded in death by his Father Bob Martinez, Step-Father Charles Heueisen, Grandparents Rodrigo and Concepcion Pacheco and Frank and Dolores Martinez, Nephew Steven Rivera, Sister Mary Lou Rivera and Cousins Loretta Negrette and Craig Labord. Besides his wife Carol, 2 Daughters Lori O'Connors and husband Chris and Tina Dame and Husband Bob and Son Rick Martinez and wife Iyeda, 9 Grandchildren, and 2 Great-Grandchildren, as well as his Mother Elvira Heueisen, Sister Christine Dorn, Nephews Kevin Dorn, Mike Calandrino and Mark Calandrino and Nieces Sheri Beley and Kimberly Dorn, Aunts and Uncle Angie Negrette, Ethel Pacheco and Mary and Tom Dawes and many cousins also survive .
