Services held Friday for Mrs. Bourne

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon from Saulters Funeral Home Chapel for Mrs. Ethel F. Bourne, 86, of Columbia, who died Wednesday afternoon at Floadrian Nursing Home in Columbia. Dr. Howard Aultman officiated and was assisted by Rev. Toxey Hedgepeth. Interment followed in the Bourne Cemetery with Saulters Funeral Home in charge.

Nephews who served as pallbearers were Vernon Coulter, Milford Coulter, Billy Ray Fortenberry, John Sharp Fortenberry, Sidney Fortenberry, and Lyndal Rex Fortenberry.

Mrs. Bourne resided in the Bournham Community of Jefferson Davis County for many years, but for the past several years had resided in Columbia.

Survivors include three sons, E. I. Bourne of Columbia; Jackie Bourne, Sedgie Bourne, both of Prentiss; five daughters, Mrs. Flora Langston of Silver Creek; Mrs. Eula Fortenberry of New Orleans; Mrs. Oran Bragg of Pascagoula; Mrs. E. S. Clary of Morris Plaines, N. J.; Mrs. Hazle Martin of Deberry Texas; two brothers, Rex Fortenberry both of Silver Creek; two sisters, Mrs. Betty Herrington of Oakland, Miss.; Mrs. Oscar Butler of Prentiss; 33 grand children, 51 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.
