Bertha Ann Wiseman was the daughter of John William Wiseman and Malinda Florence "Soppie" Hailey. She was born at Wiseman, Izard County on February 2, 1884. Bertha married William Moses Cooper, a prominent Baptist minister of this section, on November 6, 1902 in Izard County, Arkansas. The greater part of her life was spent in this county. She lived at Mountain Home for several years before moving to Conway. She was a member of the First Baptist Church at Conway.

Mrs. Cooper, 70, died September 18, 1954 at the home of a daughter, Lorine Turner, in Conway. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1934. Survivors include two daughters, Mildred Lorine Cooper Turner, and Thelma Cooper Morgan of Mountain Home; two sisters, Fannie Irons Wiseman Harber of Oxford, and Alice Della Wiseman Kersey of Thayer, MO; a brother, John Tipton Wiseman of Stockton, CA; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday at Conway with Rev. J. H. Street, Rev. Stanley Cooper and Rev. Hugh Cooper officiating. Burial was at Melbourne Cemetery.
