Mildred "Lorine" Cooper Turner, 94, passed away peacefully with family and friends by her side on May 17, 2013 in Mayflower, Arkansas. She was born on September 24, 1918 in Melbourne, Arkansas. She was the daughter of the late Reverend W.M. Cooper and Bertha Wiseman Cooper.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Coy Turner; daughter, Patsy Malin of El Dorado; sister, Thelma Morgan of Mountain Home; sister, Mary Meers of Little Rock; and brother, Jewell Cooper of Mountain Home.

Lorine attended Central Baptist College and had been a resident of Conway all of her adult life. She was very involved in the community. She was an active, long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Conway and also enjoyed leadership roles in the Twentieth Century Club and P.E.O. Sisterhood Chapter E. She was an avid bridge player and loved playing bridge with her good friends. In addition, she was a thoughful hostess who enjoyed entertaining family and friends.

Survivors include her son, Malcolm C. Turner and wife Tesa of Dallas, Texas; granddaughter, Marianne Holt and husband, Richard of Little Rock; grandson, Turner Malin and wife, Debra of Bryant; two great-granddaughters and several nieces and nephews. Survivors also include special friends, Linda Mayor, Emily Montgomery, Judy Mize and Bill Brannan all of Conway.

Lorine's family would like to express appreciation for the excellent, loving care and friendship she has received from Linda Mayor and Linda's family for the past several years. The family would also like to thank Sue Osborn and her staff of caregivers who, along with Linda, have provided outstanding care in recent months.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 21st at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with Dr. Dale Wicker officiating. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, if desired, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 1719 Robinson Ave., Conway Arkansas 72034 or the charity of your choice.
