OBITUARY: Amanda HITTLE, Pioneer Resident, Passes Away, Funeral services for Mrs. Amanda HITTLE, 87, were held in Rock Springs Monday at the Rogan Mortuary chapel. The Rev. E.T. Rodda of the Rock Springs Episcopal church conducted the services. Mrs. Hittle died Thursday morning in Sweetwater County Memorial hospital after a long illness She was born Sept 22, 1866 in St. Augustine, Ill., in March of 1892 (1891) she married Henry HITTLE, [{sic} George}], and they lived and farmed near St. Augustine until coming to Wyoming. In 1900, Mr. and Mrs. HITTLE moved to Wyoming, where they took up ranching in the East Fork area near Boulder. Her husband died several years ago. Several years ago Mrs. Hittle moved to Rock Springs, where she lived until she entered the hospital. She is survived by two sons, Henry and Carl, both of Pinedale; one daughter, Mrs. Pat HOLT of Cameron, Mont,; two sisters, Mrs. Eva BEAMS of Randolph, Nebr., and Mrs. Lorena Porter of Arlington, Nebr (Hartington); and by ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
