Here lies the body of Mr. Dan Throope, who, while he lived discovered a very serious, generous and public spirit, and after a useful life, departed in ye comfortable hope of a better, thro ye useful life, departed in ye comfortable hope of a better, thro ye mercy of ye Lord Jesus, Dec 9, 1737, in ye 67th year of his age.
