NOTES MARYLAND

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
From "THE THOMAS AND ELIZABETH (SMITH) PLUMMER FAMILY" by Agnes Millikin Winkelman and Gale Edwin Spitler Honeyman, 2003:

"John Smith's will was filed in Calvert County 1 August 1698. He named his wife Joan, brothers Philip and Charles Smith and sister Elizabeth Plummer. (Liber 6, folio 143) A parental will naming these four siblings has not thus far been found.

An inventory of the estate for Thomas Plummer shows £110.15 shillings and 8,434 pounds of tobacco. The widow Elizabeth filed an account 25 July 1706 in which 2,000 pounds of tobacco was given to her daughter Susanna Ward. (Prerogative Court, Testamentary Papers, Box 16,
folder 17) Elizabeth Plummer did not write a will nor were intestate papers filed for her."

NOTE
suggested edit: 9/29/2020
The person named Elizabeth (Stockett) Plummer never existed.
Mary (Wells) Stockett Yate only had one daughter named Elizabeth.
Elizabeth Stockett was a genealogical invention that came about due to the fraudulent representations made by an early-20th century genealogist by the name of Harry Wright Newman.
Several genealogical societies expelled Newman from membership due to his blatant fraudulent statements and misrepresentations in his books.
I'd suggest deleting this person from findagrave.
