Lonny received his education in Denver, Colorado, graduating from Adams City (Colorado) High School in Colorado with the class of 1960. Lonny then pursued higher education and attended electronic college for two years receiving his Electrical Engineers degree. He served his Electrical Apprenticeship through Coors and spent 26 years as an Electrical Engineer.
On August 7, 1965, Lonny was united in marriage to Joie Ann Boyles in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. The family made their home in Denver, Colorado, Texas and California, where Lonny was employed by the San Onofre Nuclear Generation Station for many years. On September 2, 1998 Lonny's wife, Joie passed away after enjoying 32 years of marriage together.
On August 27, 2005, Lonny was united in marriage to Lelia Marie (Knape) Hall and they made their home in Lenora, Kansas. Lonny enjoyed fishing, hunting, boat racing and beautiful cars.
Lonny was welcomed into The Heavenly Home by: his first wife, Joie Wheeler; father, Leland Wheeler and all the family Saints who have gone before.
Lonny is survived by: his wife, Lelia Wheeler of Lenora, Kansas; daughters: Andrea Stoelting and her husband, John, of Westminster, Colorado; Sheri Fischer and her husband, Martin of Sutherland, Nebraska and Sandra Wheeler of Lincoln, Nebraska; his mother, Dorothe Wheeler of Northglenn, Colorado; step-children: Laura Chee and her husband, Norris of Paragould, Arkansas; Sandy Kaiser and her husband, Charley of Lenora, Kansas; Tammy Shinn and her husband, Mike of Dwight, Kansas and Perry Hall and his wife, Mildy of Paragould; one brother, John Wheeler and his wife, Patt of Northglenn, Colorado; sister, Joleen Saccomano and her husband, John of Las Vegas, Nevada and a host of friends and relatives.
